Publish and share a form
Once a form is published, anyone with its link can fill it in, unless you’ve limited who can respond with respondent sign-in.
Open the sharing options in any of these ways:
- Select Embed, QR code and pre-filled links on the Form Published! screen that appears after you publish.
- On the Forms page, open the form’s ⋯ menu and select Share. The same menu has Copy link, plus Preview for published forms.
The dialog has four tabs: Link, Embed, QR code and Pre-fill.
The Public link has the form https://app.kyraform.com/your-org/form-name. The first part is your Organization URL and the second is the form’s own address.
- Copy puts it on your clipboard, ready to paste into an email, chat or social post.
- Open opens the live form in a new tab.
Put the form on your own website. Choose an Embed type:
| Embed type | What visitors see | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Inline | The form is part of the page and grows to fit. | Contact and sign-up pages |
| Popup | A button. Selecting it opens the form over the page. | “Register now” buttons |
| Slider | The form slides in from the side. | Feedback on content pages |
| Popover | A floating button in the corner opens the form. | Site-wide feedback or support |
| Full page | The form fills the whole window. | Landing pages made only for the form |
| Plain iframe | A plain iframe with a fixed height, no script. | Site builders that block scripts |
Then set the options that apply to that type:
| Option | Applies to | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Button text | Popup, Slider, Popover | The label on the button that opens the form. |
| Height (pixels) | Plain iframe | The iframe’s fixed height. Pick one tall enough for your longest step, or respondents will scroll inside it. |
| Pass the website’s own link parameters to the form | Script embeds | If your page was opened with ?utm_source=newsletter, those parameters are handed to the form so hidden fields can record them. |
Copy the snippet under Paste this into your page with Copy code, and paste it into your website’s HTML where the form should go. If you set values on the Pre-fill tab, the embed code includes them.
QR code
Section titled “QR code”A QR code that opens the public link. Use it on posters, tickets, flyers and slides.
- PNG downloads an image for screens, documents and chat.
- SVG downloads a vector file that stays sharp at any print size. Send this one to a printer.
If you set pre-filled values, select Use the pre-fill link so the QR code includes them.
Pre-fill
Section titled “Pre-fill”Create a link that opens the form with some answers already filled in, or with hidden field values such as a campaign name or customer ID.
- Open the Pre-fill tab.
- Fill in the answers you want pre-set.
- Copy the Pre-filled link.
Every question whose Link parameter is set can be filled from a link like …/form-name?utm_source=newsletter&team=sales. Parameter names aren’t case-sensitive. For each question you can also turn on Don’t let respondents change a value from the link.
Stop sharing
Section titled “Stop sharing”To stop taking responses without deleting anything, turn off Allow form submissions in Settings → Availability, or set a Closes at date. See Availability.
