Choice questions

Choice questions let people pick from options you set. Every option has:

  • a label: what respondents see, for example Chennai office.
  • a value: what’s stored and exported. It’s made from the label automatically (chennai_office), and you can edit it.

Keep values stable once responses arrive. Conditions, calculations and exports use the value, so changing a label is safe but changing a value isn’t.

Options: select Add option, or Bulk import (CSV) to load a long list. See Options and bulk import.

Validation rules for all choice questions: Exactly equals, Does not equal, Matches another field.

One answer from a collapsed list. Best for long lists such as countries, branches or courses.

One answer, with every option visible. Best for 2–6 options because people can compare them at a glance. The editor offers Show as a dropdown if your list grows long.

Any number of answers from a visible list. Use Required to demand at least one.

Any number of answers from a dropdown with search. Best when there are many options and people pick a few.

People pick pictures instead of words. Use it for products, designs, room types or menu items.
