Availability, dates and response limits
Settings → Availability: “Choose when respondents can submit this form, and how many responses it accepts.”
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Allow form submissions | The main switch. “When disabled, public visitors cannot view or submit this form.” Use it to pause a form without unpublishing it. |
| Opens at | Date and time the form starts accepting responses. “Leave empty to open as soon as it is published.” |
| Closes at | Date and time it stops. “Leave empty to keep it open.” |
| Response limit | The most responses the form accepts. No limit by default. Example: 100 seats for a workshop. |
| Show how many places are left | Shows respondents the remaining count, such as “12 places left” (or “1 place left”). Only with a response limit. |
| Message before it opens | Shown before Opens at. Default: “This form is not open yet.” |
| Message when closed or full | Shown after Closes at or once the limit is reached. Default: “This form has closed.” |
Times are in your own time zone when you set them, and respondents everywhere are cut off at the same moment.
The limit is enforced on the server, so two people submitting at the same time can’t push the form past it.
