After submission

Settings → After submission decides what respondents see once they submit.

Under Completion experience → Response received:

SettingWhat it does
HeadlineThe big title. Default: “Thank you — response received”.
Message“Explain what happens next”, for example “We’ll email your ticket within an hour.”
IconCheck, Sparkles, Heart or Thumbs up.
Accent colorThe icon and highlight color, as a hex value.
Page backgroundThe background color.
Show response referenceShows the response’s reference ID, which respondents can quote if they contact you.
Show received timeShows when the response was received.

Use Insert answer to quote answers in the headline or message, such as “Thanks, {first name}!”.

Some forms take a moment after submitting (payments, scoring, approvals). Set what people see meanwhile:

SettingDefault
Loading activityActivity bar, Spinner or Pulse
Loading title“Processing your response…”
Loading description“Your response is safe. This will only take a moment.”

Show a different ending depending on answers or quiz score. For example, Eligible and Not eligible, or Pass and Try again.

  1. Under Different end screens, select Add ending.
  2. Set its Name (shown in responses). Responses record which ending each person saw.
  3. Under Show this ending when, add conditions on answers. On quizzes you can also use Minimum score percent and Maximum score percent.
  4. Write the Headline (such as “Thanks, {{field:…|there}}!”, where there is used if the answer is empty) and Message.
  5. Optionally add a button: Button text (optional) and Button link.
  6. Or Or redirect to (optional) a web page instead.

Endings are checked top to bottom, and the first match is shown. When none match, show picks the fallback (The design above by default). Page logic can also send people straight to an ending.

Set Redirect URL (Optional) to send everyone to your website after submitting, for example a payment instructions page or a booking confirmation. “A redirect replaces the customized after-submit experience entirely.”

You can put answers in an ending’s redirect link, such as https://example.com/next?name={{field:…}}. “Answers put in a link are encoded for you. Avoid sending personal details in links.”

To let people check their answers before they submit, turn on Enable Form Preview in Appearance.
